The Sealant: Cali Peach Pomade

Sealing in moisture is a must for most naturalistas, I for one have to seal my ends every other day especially since having my hair coloured, the Ammonia (or Ammonia  replacement) makes hair more porous, and with Natural hair often being more porous anyway sealing in moisture is important.

Porosity is a a term used for how water is diffused through the hair cuticle , Porosity is measured in high, low or normal terms. I have High Porosity hair my hair dries quickly and soaks up moisture a lot like a sponge. If you have High Porosity hair, you may benefit from regular protein treatments, and restricting the use of heat on your hair and avoiding colour or chemical processes.
All of which I don't do (the lure of colouring my hair was two strong!) but if your aim is maximum growth restrict or cut out the all the above, or if you are like me get regular trims and keep hair moisturised .....ok back to the sealing!

I used Beija Flor Naturals Creme Brulee on wet hair and sealed with the Beija Flor Naturals Cali Peach Pomade, which is a pomade that when emulsified turns into an oil, the pomade is quite gritty so you need to make sure it is properly dissolved before putting it in your hair or you'll end up with white bits of pomade in your hair but it does dissolve. Cali Peach Pomade is great for hair and scalp nourishing due to the Peach Kernel Oil which is light but rich and penetrates hair and skin easily. I've been using it a few weeks now and find it works well I'm really pleased with the Beija Flor Products as a whole.

Active Ingredients: Peach Kernel Oil, Passion Fruit Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Castor Oi, Vitamin E
