The Wonderlust Collection: Birchbox Exclusive

Diposting oleh good reading on Jumat, 07 Juni 2013

Birchbox has collaborated with Color Club and launched The Wonderlust Collection (£10.00) available exclusively from the Birchbox E-shop. I mentioned that I received two polishes in the June Birchbox one for myself and one to share with a friend! So I was thrilled when the collection came through the post! I'm a nail polish junkie and these are THE BEST NEON PASTEL POLISHES ON EARTH! believe me I've tried a few and they often tend to be less that adequate! the Color Club polishes are true to how they look in the bottle after just two coats, 'Reign in Spain' literally glows in the dark it's BEAUTIFUL! Color Club is vegan and free from Formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP. I wanted to find a way to show you the awesomeness of these polishes so here is my attempt at wax print nails (with a little help from my nail art pen!)

Remember you also get 2! Color Club + Birchbox polishes in the June Birchbox (£10 + PP) plus the chance to win 100 polishes! YES! US reader can pick up the collection here

The Nail Art: Grown Up Abstract

Diposting oleh good reading on Rabu, 29 Mei 2013

It's been ages since I've done any kind of nail art, I was all about it a few years back but I got to the point where it just felt played out and you know for 13 year olds, So I'd been opting for plain colour perhaps with a glitter polish top coat if I was feeling fruity! However I was currently feeling the urge to do a little nail art. So here is my take on (Easy) grown up nail art!

Dielle Nail Colour in Composed
&
Collection Gel Topcoat

H O W   T O

I used a gorgeous taupe colour for my base it's so muted that it is actually quite striking on, Dielle is a great quality polish so only one coat is needed for full coverage.
Apply you base and leave to completely dry
Use the Wah Nail pen to draw two lines starting on the corner of the nails
next draw three lines on the opposite side finish with lines to fill the bottom of the nail area leaving a triangle shape in the middle.
This really doesn't have to be neat, and you can be creative with your linear composition too.
Allow your lines to dry before using a top coat and tadah! your done.
