Here's how you can add a French touch to your daily beauty routine... 

Rule #1: Only play up one facial feature. If you're going to wear a dark liquid liner, go easy on the blush and lips. Ditto for a bright red lip. French women never overdo it and really value simplicity.

Rule #2: Lay off the shimmer and lip gloss. Most Parisians stick to matte, natural lip shades and foundations with a satin-finish {and very little bronzer}.

Rule #3: Get unplugged. Most women wore the au naturel texture of their hair proudly, and I never saw a style that looked flat-ironed, round-brushed or curled into submission.

Rule #4: Never underestimate the power of an elegant, low-key chignon. A low bun with a little bit of volume on top looks effortless, sophisticated and classic.

Rule #5: Define eyes with liner, not shadow. Instead of pulling out vibrant eyeshadow shades, which can give you an unrealistic result, try a charcoal, black or espresso winged liner to accent your gaze.
