UK Events: Beautiful Textures Curls Unleashed Event & More!

The Bank Holidays are usually a busy time for natural hair events, but much like Her Majesty’s Diamond celebrations, the recent holiday period has been exceptional.

I’ve certainly enjoyed this period of playing the social butterfly, fluttering from one event to the other, meeting, partying and continually being inspired by the ever-growing number of naturals that I meet. There’ve been product launch parties, Film screenings, The infamous Afro Hair & Beauty Live and even a live big chop.

Lukwesa Burak, founder of Gidore.com , teamed up with Beautiful Texturesand Curls Unleashed to prove that not only is she the hardest working News Anchor in Team Natural, but damn does she know how to put on a party!

Beautiful Textures and Curls Unleashed are just two of the new American brands bringing their new products for curly and natural hair, to the UK.

While Celebrity stylist Felicia Leatherwood, demonstrated how to get the most from your Beautiful Textures in Bar Soho, UK Soul Legend Omar, gave an exclusive live performance at the Grace Bar (Picadilly Circus) for the Curls Unleashed Party.

The music, drinks and dancing bloggers have given me some great nights to remember, and the goody bags went beyond the standard sachets, instead containing samples of full size products; but I’ve gotta give Beautiful Textures an extra 10 points for the open bar!!
